Shop in the Place where you Live...

Or, at least pause to smell the flowers of Spring

This is our Joy at the BlueJackalope Grocery & Coffee.

We strive to facilitate the shopping equivalent of the Slow Food movement.

Sure, the selection is smaller!

But, do we have what you need?

Absolutely! Maybe it ain't what you had in mind...
But, slow down. Present your list. Discuss a recipe. Sip a coffee.
It's here in some form.

Join us in re-creating a gentler time of foraging for dinner while gettin' to know the folks around town.

It ain't just groceries and coffee: it's Community!

Leave the hunting and gathering to us.

Hop to it!

Where's your food come from?

Well, lately it's been coming from our friends at Bootstrap Farm. Don and Chelsea grow some mighty fine Spinach.
We are feeling like Pioneer Popeye with these tender green morsels heralding the coming season of produce abundance.

The neighbors are banding together to grow vegetables in a vacant lot. What a great process we observe as our coffee fixin' fuels their enthusiastic ideas and labor.

So, stop on by...have some of that elixir that's guaranteed to put Spring in your step.
You're likely to learn a bit about the agricultural models developed by Rudolf Steiner of Waldorf education fame.
Or, fall into a discussion of the merits of fostering New Urbanist ideals within a close-in to downtown residential area.
Better yet, throw down your opinion concerning our recent Feng Shui efforts to attract Prosperity and Harmony to the ole Brick & Mortar.

Speaking of Harmony, we are experimenting with live music. On the evening of March 28th three bands came by to perform for friends and neighbors. The next morning, Rachel and Seth set up for a Gospel Bluegrass jam during the 9am rush for breakfast goodies. Both events were well attended. Audiences enjoyed themselves. That impromptu spirit we treasure pervaded the scene...So, we'll be doing more of this as we connect with willing talent.
